Q. What is your motto or maxim?

A. "They were just stories, but stories weren't 'just' anything." --FANGIRL, Rainbow Rowell

Q. What are your most overused words or phrases?

A. Just. Suddenly. Heart—for some reason, I find myself describing my main character's pulse rate every few sentences. Also, everyone is always squeezing everyone else's arms and shoulders.

Q. How would you describe perfect happiness?

A. Endless books and enough hours to read all of them while sitting in a hammock and eating cookies that magically have no calories.

Q. If you could acquire any talent, what would it be?

A. I'd love to be a super-talented singer. Every time I watch Nashville, I get really jealous.

Q. What’s your fantasy profession?

A. Being a writer IS my fantasy profession. I kind of can't believe people pay me to do it.
