About The Author

Erich Fromm was a social psychologist, psychoanalyst, sociologist, humanistic philosopher, and democratic socialist. He fled the Nazi regime during the Holocaust and came to the United States, where he became a founder of the William Alanson White Institute of Psychiatry, Psychoanalysis, and Psychology in New York City.
