1. No purchase necessary.
2. How to enter: In order to be eligible for the SimonSays Vote 2004 Sweepstakes you must be a subscriber to the SimonSays Vote 2004 email newsletter as of June 30, 2004. If you are already a subscriber, you are already entered to win. To subscribe, enter your email address in the box provided above or go to http://www.simonsays.com/email_update.cfm. You will then be automatically entered into this sweepstakes. Sweepstakes begins 4/29/2004 at midnight, EST and ends 7/15/2004 at midnight, EST.
3. All entries become the property of Simon & Schuster.
4. TEN winners will be selected at random from among all eligible entries received in a drawing to be held on or about July 17, 2004. The winners will be notified by email. Sponsor is not responsible, and may disqualify a potential winner if the corresponding email address does not work or it is changed without timely prior notice to Simon & Schuster via email at ssonline@simonsays.com. Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received.
5. Prizes: TEN winners will receive a copy of PLAN OF ATTACK (hardcover) by Bob Woodward, THE REAL AMERICA (hardcover) by Glen Beck, AGAINST ALL ENEMIES (audio CD) by Richard Clarke and DUCK FOR PRESIDENT by Doreen Cronin (Total retail value $98.95).
6. Sweepstakes is open to legal residents of U.S. and Canada (excluding Quebec). Participants must be 18 years of age or older as of 4/29/2004. Employees and immediate family members of employees of Simon & Schuster, its parent, subsidiaries, divisions, and related companies and their respective agencies and agents are ineligible.
7. One prize per person or household. Prizes are not transferable and may not be substituted except by sponsors, in the event of prize unavailability, in which case a prize of equal or greater value will be awarded. All prizes will be awarded.
8. All expenses on receipt and use of a prize, including federal, state, and local taxes, are the sole responsibility of the winners. Void in Puerto Rico and wherever prohibited or restricted by law. Each winner may be required to execute and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release and all other legal documents that Sweepstakes Sponsor may require within 15 days of attempted notification or an alternate winner may be selected.
9. By accepting a prize, a winner grants to Simon & Schuster the right to use his/her name and likeness for any advertising, promotional, trade, or any other purpose without further compensation or permission, except where prohibited by law.
10. If the winner is a Canadian resident, then he/she will be required to answer a skill-testing question administered by email.
11. By entering in this Sweepstakes, participants agree to be bound by these official rules and Simon & Schuster's decisions, which are final in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes. Simon & Schuster and its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and employees, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, advertising, promotion and legal advisors are not responsible for and shall not be liable for: i) late, lost, stolen, damaged, incomplete, misdirected, not delivered, or illegible Newsletter sign-ups; ii) telephone, electronic, hardware or software program, network, internet or computer malfunctions, failures or difficulties; iii) errors or delays in transmission; iv) any condition caused by events beyond Simon & Schuster's control which may cause this Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted; v) any injuries, losses or damages of any kind caused by or resulting from participation in this Sweepstakes or the use or acceptance of a prize; or vi) any printing or typographical errors in any materials associated with this Sweepstakes.
12. Simon & Schuster reserves the right to terminate this Sweepstakes at any time without any liability to any of the participants if any condition caused by events beyond Simon & Schuster's control arise which may cause this Sweepstakes to be disrupted or corrupted.
13. The first name and state of residence of the winners may be obtained after 8/1/2004 by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to:
