Hello current members of Pulse IT. We’re happy to have you!

Pulse IT members who formerly had PO box addresses – please note that if you send back your new address in the envelope provided, you will still be a Pulse IT member, no wait list involved!

Pulse IT rules and frequently asked questions:

Members are sent a book about every month. (We skip December of each year, because members are so busy,) For each book, members are must complete a review, sent via email to the member’s email address.

IMPORTANT: if a member misses two consecutive reviews, he or she can be removed from the board. Members are responsible for alerting us if they have not received the review link or the book. We post at the top of the SimonSaysTEEN.com discussion board whenever we post a book or a link, so you know when to look for them. (We also post on our MySpace and Facebook pages.)

In our SimonSaysTEEN.com discussion board post, which will be at the top of the board, we will include a date to let us know whether you have received the book. For instance, if we mail the book on October 5, we might say, “Let us know if you haven’t received the book by October 19.” In that case, please wait until October 19th to email us at PulseIT@simonandschuster.com

Missing a book? Email us at PulseIT@simonandschuster.com. Tell us that you are missing the latest book, and also include the name of the last book you received AND your correct address in the email. Missing an email? First, check to see if we have sent the email by checking the SimonSaysTEEN.com discussion board (post at the top will say, Pulse IT BOOK NAME Review links). If we have sent the email, and you haven’t received email us at PulseIT@simonandschuster.com. Please include your name and the name of the book. Please don’t just ask a friend for the link. If you didn’t receive it, it could be because your address is incorrect in our system, which means that you are not getting credit for the reviews.

How do I change my mail address or email address? Mail us a RESUBMISSION parental consent form to change your address. Be sure to download the one that has RESUBMISSION written on the bottom. That way we know that you are changing an existing account. Don't forget to fill it out completely. You can download the resubmission form here. Mail it to:

Do I have to write a review for every book? Yes, please. But it's OK to say that you didn't like it. If you do not complete the reviews, we will not charge you for the book, but we will remove you from the board if you miss 2 reviews in a row.

I just received the book and read it all in one night -- can I have the review link now? We try to give everyone a chance to receive the book before we ask for reviews, so depending on where you live, you may have to wait a week or two. If you can't wait, write down a few things you liked, or didn't, to jog your memory when the link comes.

The link came and my book hasn't arrived -- what do I do? Sometimes books get delayed in the mail, so don't worry. You'll have a full month to fill in the link. We post on the SimonSaysTEEN.com discussion board whenever we send a book or a link, so you'll know when to look for them. We also post the date by which you should have received the book, and if you have not, please email us at PulseIT@simonandschuster.com. In your email, please let us know the correct address, in case it's listed wrong in our system, and the name of the last book you received.

Does everyone on the Pulse IT Board receive the same book? Sometimes, but not necessarily.

Can we pick the books? Nope! But we will do our best to send you fun, smart, funny, thought-provoking, or otherwise interesting books each month. We hope you'll like them.

My friend and I want to use the same email -- is that OK? Unfortunately, our system is set up to allow one review per email, so each Pulse IT Board member will need his or her own email address. Or you can use your parent's email address if he or she agrees!

Will you use last names or cities in your reviews? If we publish a review, it will be listed by your first name, city, and age. We will not include last names.

Where is Pulse IT available? Pulse IT is available to both residents of the fifty United States, Washington, D.C., and Canada.

What happens when I turn 19? Pulse IT board members will be removed when they are 19 years old.
