About The Book

From acclaimed children’s author and illustrator Elisa Kleven comes a brand-new tale of friendship and imaginative play, as a curious rabbit learns that connection can be found in the most unexpected places.

When Remy, a young rabbit, sees a bear cub one morning, he longs to play with her. But Mama and Papa tell him that rabbits don’t play with bears . . . or do they? Join Remy in his search for a friend, as he discovers a true kindred spirit who shares his curiosity and sense of wonder.

Elisa Kleven—author and illustrator of more than thirty beloved children’s books, including The Paper Princess—invites little readers to open their imaginations and explore the meaning of friendship as they follow Remy the rabbit and Bella the bear on an adventure through a richly textured natural world. Curl up with this cozy story of wide-eyed wonder and the discovery that looking beyond the surface can lead to unexpected possibilities.
