Jesús Orellana
About The Author
Jesús Orellana, a filmmaker without ever attending film school, debuts his short film, Rosa at Screamfest. Jesús' journied from illustrator to 3D animation director to fulfil his dream of making movies. With no formal training, he embarked on this journey to learn through the process, resulting in the creation of Rosa. Constrained by limited resources, Jesús opted for animation, allowing him to bring his vivid imagination to life. Departing from the norm, he crafted a vibrant world where nature takes center stage, steering away from the typical post-apocalyptic landscapes. Drawing inspiration from cinematic masterpieces like Blade Runner and The Matrix, as well as Japanese manga/anime classics, Jesús embodies the natural evolution of aspiring filmmakers.
