Founded in 1846, Scribner is the oldest publishing imprint within Simon & Schuster. It has championed some of the greatest authors in American literary history, including F. The Aladdin imprint is dedicated to publishing the books kids want to read. Our bestselling and award-winning books are commercial, appeal to a diverse community of readers, and cover culturally relevant themes. From lighthearted and heavily illustrated titles for newly fluent readers to highly crafted fantasy series—and everything in between—there is an Aladdin book for every middle grade reader.

Founded in 1961 by Jean Karl, Atheneum Books for Young Readers publishes enduring literary middle grade, teen, picture book, and graphic novel titles. The imprint has garnered more than forty Newbery and Caldecott Medals and Honors throughout its celebrated history and has also published books that have won innumerable other awards and accolades. We are committed to publishing commercial books with outstanding literary merit, as evident in our extensive backlist.

Beach Lane Books, founded in 2008 and located on a flower-filled lane in San Diego, publishes lyrical, emotionally engaging, highly visual picture books. Our list features established authors and illustrators as well as brand-new talent, and our goal is to publish books that connect with children on a deep level and that become beloved childhood treasures people will return to throughout their lives. Starting in 2025, Beach Lane also became the steward of the Paula Wiseman Books backlist.

Boynton Bookworks, an imprint of Simon & Schuster Children’s Publishing, was created in 2022 to bring together new and classic children’s books by Sandra Boynton—beloved American cartoonist, writer, and platinum-selling songwriter/producer.

Denene Millner Books is the eponymous imprint of New York Times bestselling author and award-winning journalist, Denene Millner. The imprint publishes books for all ages that celebrate the everyday humanity of Black children and families; it is a "love letter to children of color who deserve to see their beauty and humanity in the most remarkable form of entertainment on the planet: books."

Little Simon publishes a range of innovative books for young children. Our award-winning and bestselling board book and novelty titles are perfectly designed for the youngest of readers. Our original chapter book and graphic novel lines are created for emerging readers and include homegrown series such as Good Dog, Desmond Cole Ghost Patrol, the Critter Club, and Dragon Kingdom of Wrenly.

Founded by legendary editor Margaret K. McElderry in 1972, Margaret K. McElderry Books is recognized internationally as a publisher of literary author-driven fiction and nonfiction for the teen, middle grade, picture book, and poetry markets. We specialize in high quality literary fantasy, contemporary, and historical fiction, as well as character-driven picture books and poetry for all ages. We acquire properties from foreign publishers and attract and nurture talent from other countries.

Founded in 2016, Salaam Reads is an imprint that celebrates joy, vibrancy, and variety in stories of Muslim life. We publish books that explore a diverse panoply of experiences lived by characters who are united under a shared umbrella of Muslim identity. Our books span a wide range of genres, from contemporary to fantastical, science fiction, and more. The imprint, which takes its name from the Arabic word for “peace,” publishes books for young readers of all ages.

Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers is the flagship imprint of the S&S Children’s Division. We publish a wide range of contemporary, commercial, award-winning fiction and nonfiction that spans every age of children’s publishing. BFYR supports our foundation authors and franchises, but always with an eye for breaking new ground with every publication. We are also invested in developing new talent, new formats, and new avenues of publication.

Simon Spotlight is an imprint devoted to developing licensed properties and brands so kids can read about their favorite characters in various ways--from board books and novelty books to storybooks, chapter books and graphic novels and literally every format in between. Simon Spotlight is also home to our extensive beginning reader line, Ready-to-Read, which leads new readers from the beginning stages with our Ready-to-Go leveled books through independent readers at Level 3.

Simon & Schuster Audio publishes audio editions of books from all of Simon & Schuster’s imprints and divisions, as well as a wide range of titles originated in print by other houses, and projects developed and produced exclusively for audio. Our list includes new releases published simultaneously with their print editions as well as backlist favorites reaching new audiences on audio. We take great pride in the many Grammy, Audie and Odyssey Awards that our productions have won.

With our original audio program, Simon & Schuster Audio is building a dynamic list of titles written and produced for the listening experience and published exclusively in the audiobook format.
