About The Book

The visionary behind the bestselling phenomenon The Fourth Turning returns with an urgent survival guide to help us prepare for the national emergencies the next ten to fifteen years will bring.

What will you do when the AI bubble pops? If the power grid goes down across the country? If America suddenly finds itself at war with China or Russia or both? What would you wish you’d done differently, had you only known what was coming? How would you have prepared your finances? How would you have prepared your kids? Would you have set up a safe getaway location, away from where you now live?

Neil Howe has spent four decades looking to the past to predict our future. And he’s learned some astonishing lessons from generations of Americans who’ve endured global wars, civil upheaval, and devastating financial panics about what separates those individuals able to thrive in even the most turbulent times.

This is more than a prepper manual. It’s a commonsense, comprehensive guide for people who want to understand why these sorts of threats are growing ever more likely and how each possible crisis is likely to unfold. Most importantly, Howe wants to help Americans brace for the shocks to come. He’ll teach you how to anticipate big news events before they happen and how to design an investment portfolio that will pull your family through a financial collapse. He’ll share what skills you need to learn, where you can live safely and how to supply your home, and how to build a whole community you can rely on, come what may.

Because in times of uncertainty, we don’t have to be helpless. Not when we already know so much about how the world as we know it will end.
