Ann Harrell lives with her husband and their two dogs in Greensboro, North Carolina. She believes in the power of story. As a licensed counselor, she listens to stories, as a certified dance therapist, she expresses stories through movement, and as a children’s author, she creates stories. Ann writes picture books and early chapter books that both entertain and relate to a child’s social-emotional voice. When she’s not writing, she enjoys family time, traveling, dancing, and taking walks with her golden retriever, rescued from the streets of Turkey.

Malgosia Zajac is an illustrator who lives with her family in a very old Polish city called Krakow. This city is well known for its famous dragon and the Royal Castle. Malgosia believes that imagination is the most important thing in creating her art. Her head is full of all kinds of creatures, imaginary friends, magical worlds, and incredible stories. Shelves in her workshop are crowded with beautiful books, illustrated by her favorite artists from all over the world. She dreams that, one day, her illustrated books will be kept on someone’s favorite bookshelf.
