About The Author

Caroline Woodward grew up on a Cecil Lake homestead in B.C.’s Peace River region, where all thechildren are brave and tough and where she reallydid walk a mile to her school bus stop, uphill both ways. She lives on the Lennard Island Lightstation at the entrance to Clayoquot Sound, near Tofino, Canada.

About The Illustrator

Julie Morstad is known for her surreal, whimsical work. Her books have garnered accolades including the Elizabeth Mrazik-Cleaver Picture Book Award, Marilyn Baillie Picture Book Award, and the Christie Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Prize at the BC and Yukon Book Prizes. She lives in Vancouver, Canada.
