Rights and Permissions
In order to inquire about subsidiary or translation rights or to request permission to reprint copyrighted material, you must write a letter of inquiry addressed to the correct department, as listed below. Your letter must include:
- Title of the book
- Full name of the author of the book
- Name of your project/title
- Publisher of your project
- Publication date (month and year)
- Territories your work will be published in
- Number of print runs
- Formats of your work (i.e., soft cover, ebook, handouts, etc.)
- Specific material in the book which you'd like to use, including page numbers
- The way in which you'd like to use the material. Please be as specific as possible.
- Your name, address, phone number and fax number

- reproduction of any Simon & Schuster Publishing group text or artwork in all media other than books (for reproduction in books, please see Permissions)
- serialization rights
- book club rights
- other performance rights (including electronic interactive rights),
- foreign rights (the right to translate and publish a book in a language other than English)

To send a written inquiry, check the spine or copyright page to determine the imprint that published the book then address your request to the appropriate subsidiary rights department:
