Book by Former Vice President Kamala D. Harris on the 2024 Election to Be Published by Simon & Schuster in September
NEW YORK, NY, July 31, 2025—Simon & Schuster announced today that it will publish 107 DAYS, a memoir by former Vice President Kamala D. Harris about her campaign for the presidency in 2024. With surprising and revealing insights, Harris tells the story of one of the wildest and most consequential presidential campaigns in American history. Written with the pace of a page-turning novel, she takes readers inside the race for the presidency as no one has ever done before. The book is scheduled for publication on September 23, 2025.
In a video announcing the book’s release Vice President Harris said, “Just over a year ago, I launched my campaign for President of the United States. 107 days traveling the country, fighting for our future — the shortest presidential campaign in modern history. Since leaving office, I’ve spent a lot of time reflecting on those days and with candor and reflection, I’ve written a behind-the-scenes account of that journey. I believe there’s value in sharing what I saw, what I learned, and what it will take to move forward.”
“Kamala Harris is a singular American leader,” said Jonathan Karp, Chief Executive Officer of Simon & Schuster. “107 DAYS captures the drama of running for president better than just about anything I’ve read. It’s one of the best works of political nonfiction Simon & Schuster has ever published. It’s an eyewitness contribution to history and an extraordinary story.”
“There is so much to be gleaned from these pages—to read the book is to be a fly on the wall as critical decisions were made and key team members tapped, all in such a dramatic moment in our history, all in just 107 days,” added Dawn Davis, Senior Vice President and Publisher of 37 Ink.
Simon & Schuster pre-emptively acquired world, audio, and first serial rights to the work from Creative Artists Agency. Vice President Harris has been working on the manuscript for several months. Mr. Karp edited the memoir along with Dawn Davis, the Publisher of 37 Ink, an imprint of Simon & Schuster. The book will be simultaneously published by Simon & Schuster in hardcover, ebook, and audio, and by its international companies in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and India. The author will narrate the audiobook.
