Kimberly Meilun is an Editor at Simon Acumen acquiring in the business and economics space. A fierce believer in the power of business to transform lives, she is particularly interested in prescriptive books about entrepreneurship, personal success, career growth, personal finance, and women in business. She is also drawn to investigative journalism and narrative nonfiction with a business slant, like Glossy by Marisa Meltzer and The Fund by Rob Copeland.

Prior to joining Simon & Schuster, Kimberly worked at PublicAffairs, acquiring advice-driven business books and expanding the imprint’s footprint in the business category. Some of her authors included Emma Hayes, the new head coach of the US Women’s Soccer Team, LinkedIn Top Voice and personal branding consultant Goldie Chan, Harvard Business School professor and startup operations expert Julia Austin, journalist and creator of the Too Ambitious newsletter Stefanie O’Connell Rodriguez, and women’s leadership coach Meghan French Dunbar.

Before entering publishing, Kimberly worked as an anti-financial crime consultant for global banks and as a trial paralegal for a white-collar criminal defense law firm. Hailing from Rhode Island, she studied nonfiction writing at Brown University, where she founded a small press and a public policy think tank for undergraduates.
