Briony Stewart

Briony Stewart writes and illustrates children's books, which means she spends a lot of time drawing, daydreaming and asking important questions, such as 'what colour is the ocean?'. Her books have won numerous awards including the Prime Minister's Literary Award for Children's Fiction and the CBCA Book of the Year awards. Briony is passionate about the social importance of children's books and the way stories help children make sense of the world. Briony enjoys inventing names for colours, humming while she works, and discussing the impossible over cups of tea.
