About The Author

Charles DiSimone is an associate professor of Buddhist studies at Ghent University and is principal investigator of the European Research Council starting grant project “Corpora in Greater Gandha¯ra: Tracing the Development of Buddhist Textuality and Gilgit/Bamiyan Manuscript Networks in the First Millennium of the Common Era.” Since graduating from the doctoral program in Buddhist studies at Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) in Munich, he has held posts at the Buddhist Digital Resource Center, Mahidol University, LMU, and Ghent.
