Raya is a bestselling romance author best known for The Sovereign Mountain Series. She writes gritty, and sometimes dark, stories with a focus on rural American life, intergenerational trauma, and finding hope in the messiness of life. She is proud to be Kentuckian and to represent her home in her work. When not in her office writing, she’s somewhere in the mountains without signal, adopting another furry friend to add to her senior dog collection, or rearranging her entire house again.
